The Green Garden Bakery (BBG) youth of Minneapolis’ Heritage Park are lending their voices to combating food insecurity in North Minneapolis, all while dispelling myths about minority youth through their social entrepreneurship’s efforts gaining more attention.
Recently, Minneapolis’ Fox9 news station highlighted the youth’s fundraising efforts by writing a story. You can view it here. Meanwhile, a video created by 60 Second Docs is going viral. This isn’t the first time Green Garden Bakery has caught the attention of large audiences for their work. In November 2017, the rising business leaders won the Youth Division of the Minneapolis Cup, the nation’s largest statewide startup competition and even received support from 2016 Minneapolis Timberwolves’ NBA rookie, Kris Dunn. Our goal is to help elevate and support these youth in the development of their business and themselves. Starting April 28 – June 2, the GGB youth will be fundraising to complete their dream commercial kitchen. Please consider donating and sharing with your networks.
