SNAP benefits were temporarily increased in 2009 as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to provide an economic stimulus during and following the recession.  The temporary boost in benefits end on November 1, 2013, and anyone who currently receives food stamps will see a decrease in the amount of subsidy they have been receiving.  Urban Strategies’ Coasy Hale discussed approaches currently underway to support families affected by the cuts with WREG News Channel 3 in Memphis.  Click here for more.
